Ma’aruf the Cobbler

Ma’aruf, a poor and mistreated cobbler, flees Cairo and pretends to be a wealthy merchant in a distant city. After discovering a magic ring, he gains a real caravan, rewards those who helped him, and eventually becomes a just and generous king.
