Uber to buy Germany’s Delivery Hero in class="h-full"4.8bn global deal

Uber has agreed to acquire Delivery Hero in a class="h-full"4.8bn deal that would greatly expand its global food-delivery business. Some operations will be sold separately to limit competition concerns, while Uber has promised to retain Delivery Hero’s Berlin headquarters and avoid workforce changes until at least 2029.
