Popular sugar substitutes linked to faster brain aging
A study of 12,772 Brazilian adults associated higher consumption of several low- and no-calorie sweeteners with faster declines in memory and thinking skills, particularly among people with diabetes and adults under 60. Because the research was observational, it does not prove that the sweeteners caused these changes.
