AI will cure cancer in our lifetime, claims boss of UK chip giant
Arm Holdings chief executive Rene Haas believes increasingly sophisticated AI systems will help cure cancer by modelling complex biological processes. Cancer researcher Chris Bakal says success will depend more on high-quality patient measurements than enormous computers. Haas also predicts wider use of adaptable robots, while warning that chip shortages are restricting the expansion of AI infrastructure.
