Uncontrolled AI could lead to 'silicon species' rivalling humans, warns Microsoft

Microsoft AI chief Mustafa Suleyman has warned that advanced AI could compete with humanity if it is given excessive autonomy without adequate safeguards. He called for transparent development, independent oversight and systems that remain subordinate to human values and control.
